A cold day under the veil of snow and cloud breaks just in time to catch a glimpse of our final objective. The moment we’ve been waiting for, a moment we’re unsure of how long we’ll be able to hold. That fleeting nature of the spirit in the hills has created a practice of freezing my feet in place to really study the details of the direction, if not solely to remark in the beauty but to be alert to the cracks in its curves.
